Yahoo! News Headline of the Day:

"Hackers deface recording industry Web site."

*smiles and nods*

Now THIS is they kind of news I live for.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seriously, I understand all the bitching and moaning about copyrights and piracy and whatnot...but c'mon people! If you want to listen to your favorite artist(s), you have to plunk down nearly ***$20*** for a CD that MAYBE (if you're *extremely* lucky) has about five songs--OUT OF OVER A DOZEN--worth listening to!!
Don't these bitches understand??? This is the TWENTY FIRST CENTURY!! Times have changed! People are becoming more and more cyberized everyday! Why is it SO hard for them to wrap their minds around this? Why can't the recording industry actually USE their brains and come up with an alternative that makes everyone happy? Hell, they're not even TRYING...they're too busy keeping their own pockets fat!
Don't they realize that they would be NOTHING without the artists--much less without the FANS?!
It's so laughably simple, yet they insist on having it all their way. At the rate this thing is going, they will have totally isolated the very people they're trying to retain before long. And I'm convinced these people are deaf. They act as though they don't give a flying fuck that 99.9% of the people who fill their pockets SUPPORT online music-downloading (as well as online radios). What IS it with them? Do the entertainment powerheads think the Internet is evil or something? Or are they trying to use these tactics in order to gain control of the power of the Internet?
Probably so...the archaic fucks!
There's no way they'll ever hope to stop the tsunami that continues to build against them.
